Providence Performing Arts Center is a 3,100-seat venue, located in the centre of the area's arts and entertainment district. The center is on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been ranked by Pollstar as one of the Top Venues in the world. Between 1972 and 1975 the building was known as the Palace Concert Theater, and it was used mainly for rock concerts. It now holds a wide range of events, including Broadway shows, concerts, plays and movies.

Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra: Holiday Pops - Keith Lockhart

Conductor Keith Lockhart leads his celebrated Boston Pops to Providence for a night of festive music and fun, especially for the holiday season. A sparkling concert that is perfect for the entire family, it celebrates Christmas and winter charms of New England. The Boston Pops will perform their signature number Sleigh Ride, as well as other holiday classics, as well as new arrangements of seasonal favorites.

Festival Ballet Providence: The Nutcracker

Rhode Island's very own Festival Ballet Providence's magical production is complete with colorful costumes, Swarovski crystal snowflakes, stunning dancing, and a cast of over 100 performers. Based on the original story by E.T Hoffman, we follow the journey of Clara and her beloved Nutcracker prince as they defeat a giant mouse army and venture to the Kingdom of Sweets where they experience a dance festival like none other!

A young prince sets out on a journey to find the ultimate meaning of life in the vaudevillian spectacular of Pippin, from Godspell creator Stephen Schwartz. Told by a roving cast of an anachronistic acting troupe, the musical first wowed audiences in 1972, seducing them with the astonishing musical fable, set to a rousing 1970's rock score, including the hits 'Magic to Do' and 'I Guess I'll Miss the Man.'
