The Netherlands will be home to its own 'Prom' in 2022 when the cult hit Broadway show makes way to Europe as a brand new production. Already a top choice on Netflix, this new iteration of the Tony-nominated musical is set to be the production's first opening in continental Europe.

The Dutch production is due to open in Autumn 2022 and is being produced by De Graaf and Cornelissen Entertainment. While we do know that the word 'prom' translates roughly into 'Schoolfeestje', we're not 100% certain if this new version will be in English or Dutch. Regardless of language, it's central themes of love and acceptance are relevant around the world. And so we're especially happy that Europe will get to experience its own 'Prom' magic soon!
