The film is the latest in a string of highly successful stage-to-screen adaptations of Tony-winning Broadway musicals, including Hamilton and The Prom. Universal Pictures announced earlier this week that the movie would premiere on September 24th. Here's hoping that will be able to be a star-studded red carpet event!

The DEH film is one of the few musical movies to feature its original lead star, with Tony Winner Ben Platt once again playing the role of the titular Evan Hansen. He stars alongside a cast better known for the film endeavours, including Julianne Moore and Amy Adams.

Of course, of the main stars will be the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack created by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, also of La La Land fame. Now all we want to know is, if the DEH musical is now a movie, how long will we have to wait for the 'La La Land' movie to become a musical? Sign us up for tickets to that, for sure!
