Excellent Show to Help you get in the Spirit of Christmas

A Christmas Carol at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta is Broadway quality and worth the time. While sitting in my seat watching the performances unfold, I was amazed at the prowess and professionalism of the characters. Each character’s poise, timing, believability, and performance brought such a delight to this heart. The props, movements with the set, lighting, and staging were impeccable. Don’t miss this show. I’m glad I found it. I hope it can be a new tradition year after year in Atlanta for my family. ... Read more

LOVED the 2023 A Christmas Carol at the McCarter, Princeton NJ

Traveling from VA and PA to see Lauren Keating's adaption and production with Joel McKinnen Miller was worth the journey. Miller is a believably human, and, ultimately, lovable Scrooge. Great storytelling throughout - excellent performances embodying Dicken's characters, lots of Christmas music - joyful and foreboding. Outstanding party scene at Mr. Fessiwig's shop with surprising choreography supporting the narrative beautifully. The best Christmas morning when Scrooge first finds he has time to change the future -and interacts first with his housekeeper. His appearance in town made me laugh hard. When allowed to be heard Dickens is so very wise, full of heart... and funny. I cried four different times. It plays through two performances Christmas Eve. ... Read more

Best production I’ve seen!

I just want to say this production has been one of the best ones I’ve seen. Great actors, great Christmas carols, the adaptations made didn’t hinder the original story, and even the energy of the audience was uplifting and contagious. The message of hope transcended amongst the crowd. There was laughter, nostalgia and tears of sadness and joy! I particularly enjoyed the song choice and the emphasis on unity and family through various scenes.Something we don’t see often anymore. Thank you Kevin Moriarty for keeping the story clean, so the whole family can see it! Go support the Dallas theater 🎭 it’s so worth it! ... Read more
